Farm Credit Illinois

Farm Credit Illinois Welcome to Farm Credit Illinois - Highland, a farmer-owned & directed cooperative. We serve Bond, Madison, Clinton, and Washington counties.

Farm Credit Illinois (FCI) is a farmer-owned and directed agricultural lending cooperative dedicated to supporting Rural America and agriculture with constructive credit, risk management services, and financial expertise today and tomorrow. The Association serves 10,000 farm families with $5 billion of farm and agribusiness loans and 1.2 million net acres of crop insurance coverage. FCI employs 24

0 staff based in the Mahomet central office and 14 regional office locations throughout its 60-county service area in central and southern Illinois. As a cooperative, FCI’s voting member-owners elect 12 of their peers as directors to the board and two additional individuals are appointed as outside directors. The Board of Directors ensures the cooperative carries out its mission. The Association is part of the national Farm Credit System created by the U.S. Congress in 1916 to support rural communities, farm families, and agriculture with reliable, consistent credit and financial services. Today, the System is a network of cooperatives providing more than one-third of the credit needed by those who live and work in Rural America. Although the System is a Government Sponsored Enterprise (GSE), Farm Credit is completely self-sustaining and operates without financial support from the federal government. Farm Credit employees live and work in the communities which they serve. Their deep understanding of agriculture enables them to provide knowledgeable and effective service to farm families, rural landowners, and agribusinesses. FCI is committed to improving the quality of life for farmers and Rural America while fulfilling its core purpose of Helping Farm Families Succeed.
