**** PRESS RELEASE ****
The Town of Lloyd Police report the arrest of the following:

TODD E. BOYD age: 55
Poughkeepsie, NY
-Boyd was arrested August 21st and charged with Reckless Driving, Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd degree after the vehicle Boyd was operating was involved in a one vehicle roll auto accident on Rt. 44/55 near the Mid-Hudson Bridge. Boyd, who has 16 prior arrests, was the sole occupant in the vehicle. Boyd fled into the nearby woods where he was located approximately 35 minutes later by Ulster County Sheriff’s Deputy Mitchell and K9 Dex. Boyd was released on an appearance ticket and is due in the Town of Lloyd Court September 1, 2026. Lloyd Police were assisted at the scene by The Ulster County Sheriffs Office, the New York State Police Drone Unit, and the Town of Marlboro Police Drone Unit.

JOHN J. PERAGINE age: 44
Highland, NY
-Peragine was arrested August 18th and charged with Criminal Contempt 2nd degree. He is accused of violating an Order of Protection. Peragine was arraigned in the Town of Lloyd Court before Judge Rizzo and released. He is due back in the Town of Lloyd Court September 15, 2026.

Today as Town of Lloyd Police were doing foot patrol at the Bob Shepard Highland Landing, they noticed an individual loitering around the boat ramp and refusing to move along. As officers attempted dialog with the individual it was apparent that the subject was in some type of distress. They quickly secured the subject and called for backup. Using police interviewing skills (and Google) the subject was identified as a juvenile Two Crested Cormorant. He was gently escorted to Wild Mountain Birds Rehabilitation, and we’re happy to report the juvenile wasn’t charged with any crimes.
Thank you to Annie for swooping in to help and giving this young bird a safe place to rest and recover.

The Town of Lloyd Police report the arrest of the following:

STEVEN FOURNIER age: 32
Poughkeepsie, NY
-Fournier was arrested August 15th on an Arrest Warrant for Aggravated Harassment 2nd degree. He was transported to Ulster County Centralized Arraingment Parts Court where he was arraigned and released. Fournier is due back in the Town of Lloyd Court on August 18, 2026.

SERGIO XO-RAX age: 23
Kingston, NY
-Rax was arrested August 16th and charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated after the vehicle he was operating was stopped for traffic violations on Rt. 9w in Highland. Rax was released on an appearance ticket and is due in the Town of Lloyd Court on September 9, 2026.

RYAN J. DIENER age: 26
Wallkill, NY
-Diener was arrested August 11th and charged with Driving While Intoxicated after the vehicle he was operating was stopped for traffic violations on Rt. 44/55 in Highland. He was released on an appearance ticket and is due in the Town of Lloyd Court August 20, 2026.

ROGER TAYLOR age: 60
Highland, NY
-Taylor was arrested August 13th and charged with Assault 2nd degree. He is accused of assaulting a 77-year-old Highland man. Taylor was released on an appearance ticket and is due in the Town of Lloyd Court on September 3, 2026.

CHRIS R. SIMMONS age: 39
Wappingers Falls, NY
-Simmons was arrested August 9th and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st degree and Driving While Intoxicated after the vehicle he was operating was stopped for traffic violations on Rt. 299 in Highland. Simmons was released on an appearance ticket and is due in the Town of Lloyd Court September 3, 2026.

MARIANA N. RODRIGUEZ age: 20
Highland, NY
-Rodriguez was arrested August 7th and charged with Criminal Mischief 4th degree after she was involved in a domestic dispute. She was released on an appearance ticket and is due in the Town of Lloyd Court on August 27, 2026

GEORGE P. REBHAN age: 84
Highland, NY
-Rebhan was arrested August 6th and charged with Driving While Intoxicated after he was involved in a property damage auto accident on Rt. 9w in Highland. Rebhan was released on an appearance ticket and is due in the Town of Lloyd Court August 20, 2026.

PAUL J. DIENER age: 26
Wallkill, NY
-Diener was arrested August 11th and charged with Driving While Intoxicated after the vehicle he was operating was stopped for traffic violations on Rt. 9w in Highland. Diener was released on an appearance ticket and is due in the Town of Lloyd Court on August 20, 2026.
