-supports the Elementary School’s Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports (PBIS) initiative, a program that promotes a positive school climate by clearly defining expectations and rewarding appropriate behaviors

-leads the Parents as Reading Partners (PARP) program, which is a statewide literacy effort that engages students, parents, teachers, and the community to reinforce the value of reading and strengthen the home/school partnership

What a day! 🎓

As another school year comes to a close, we're celebrating a memorable Moving Up Day for our fifth graders and the many people who helped the District to make it special.

For the PTA part, thank you to our front office staff for their assistance leading up to today's events, and a very special shout-out to our amazing custodial staff, who always go above and beyond with decorating, setup, and the countless behind-the-scenes details that help bring these celebrations to life with our fifth graders special pizza lunch!

We're also grateful to:

🍕 Rino's Pizza for helping us treat our fifth graders to a celebratory lunch.
👕 Mountain Tee Shirts LLC for the Class of 2026 shirts.
📸 Poppin' Party Creations for the beautiful ceremony backdrop, purchased in partnership with the Highland Middle School PTA for district end-of-year celebrations.

⭐ From Fundraiser to Fidgets: Liam’s Impact in Action

🎉 As we wrap up another amazing school year, we're excited to celebrate the success of our Autism Acceptance Month fundraiser and recognize one very special student!

⭐ Liam, our fundraising superstar, helped make this initiative a success. He even worked alongside Ms. Munson and Mr. Smith to help select the fidgets that would be purchased for our school. A total of $100 from the fundraiser was used to purchase these new sensory tools.

📦 When the fidgets arrived, our OT department unwrapped them and brought them to Liam's classroom for a special surprise.

📣 During morning announcements, Liam was recognized in front of the entire school for his hard work and dedication. Students then had the opportunity to explore and try out the new fidgets for a few minutes—a moment filled with excitement, curiosity, and lots of smiles!

💙 It was a wonderful way to celebrate the positive impact one student can have on an entire school community.

🗓️ Looking ahead, the PTA and OT Department will continue to work together during the next academic year to thoughtfully allocate the remaining fundraiser proceeds to support students and enhance school resources.

🤩 Thank you, Liam, for your leadership, generosity, and school spirit. Wishing everyone a wonderful summer and congratulations on a fantastic school year!

🎳 A fun day on the lanes for our fifth graders!

Our PE Department took students bowling to celebrate the end of elementary school and their upcoming move to middle school.

Here's hoping our Huskies strike it big as they roll into this exciting next chapter! 🎉
