Congratulations to the Doniphan West FFA chapter for being named a NATIONAL FINALIST!

They will be walking across the stage at National Convention along with doing different interviews, presentations, and tests. The chapter is continuing to grow and succeed💙💛

We love highlighting the work of our many FFA chapters, and based on their work over the past year, the Doniphan West FFA chapter has been named a national finalist in the National Chapter program as a Model of Excellence!

The chapter exhibited exemplary qualities in all categories of growing leaders, building communities and strengthening agriculture. Congrats Doniphan West!

2024 Kansas FFA State Convention Trip!!

Members of the Doniphan West FFA Chapter spent the week in Manhattan celebrating the accomplishments of the Kansas FFA and growing through various leadership opportunities!

Some highlights of our trip included:

👑👑👑 Triple Crown Finalists!!! The chapter placed 6th Place Overall in the State of Kansas for their efforts in the National Chapter Application!
🗯️ Numerous inspiring speakers and workshops!
🎤 Rafael Silva competing in the Prepared Public Speaking state event!
✅ H’Leigha Idol & Brooklynn Drake serving as Delegates. They represented our chapter at all official Kansas FFA business sessions and provided input and voted on important Kansas FFA business.
🎶Rafael Silva performing as a member of the State FFA Chorus!
🐘 Experiencing the Sunset Zoo!
🏖️ An afternoon with some fun in the sun at Pillsbury Crossing learning about the ecosystem and enjoying the water!
🕶️The views of Manhattan from Bluemont Hill!
🎆 Ignite the Night at the Rec Center with late night pancakes, games, and dodgeball!
⛳️ Mini Golf at Wildcat Creek!
🍕 Lots of great food!
🥳 And lots more memories that were made!

Thank you to all those that made the 96th Kansas FFA State Convention a successful and engaging experience! Congratulations to these members on their hard work and accomplishments!!

Congratulations to the following chapters who were just named Triple Crown Award Finalists!

The Triple Crown award is given to the FFA chapter that performs the best in the National Chapter Award program, which recognizes chapters that actively implement the mission and strategies of the organization in the three divisions. These members showed up and out at their District Banquet! In addition to celebrating exemplary FFA members, the following members were elected to the district officer team:

Let’s thank the 23-24 team for their work this past year and get ready to celebrate more accomplishments over the next month!

Spring has Sprung in the Doniphan West Greenhouse, and the Horticulture class is proud to present their beautiful crop!

Plant sales are open to the public tomorrow! All proceeds support the function of the greenhouse and Horticulture class.

Lots of accomplishments to be proud of this week! Congratulations to our hardworking members!

1. The chapter was recognized at District Banquet for the National Chapter Award! We will compete at state at the end of May. Thank you to the chapter officer team for your work on this application!

2. Rafael Silva was elected to the Northeast District Officer Team as the 2024-25 Treasurer. He represents our entire district and becomes only the 10th student in Doniphan West and Highland’s history to be an officer!

3. Rafael Silva was also selected to be a member of the 2024 Kansas FFA State Chorus!

There are many other achievements we would like to recognize and we hope to see you at the 20th Anniversary Banquet on this Saturday, April 27 @ 10:00am to celebrate!
