Unity Day, part of National Bullying Prevention Month, brings communities together to promote kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. 🧡

This Wednesday, Fair Haven RCC is proud to recognize Unity Day, a day dedicated to promoting kindness, acceptance, and inclusion while taking a stand against bullying.

Started by PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center in 2011, Unity Day brings people together to send a powerful, visible message: everyone deserves to feel safe, accepted, and valued. 💛

At Fair Haven, we believe that building safer communities starts with how we treat one another. Choosing kindness, respecting differences, and creating spaces where everyone feels seen and supported can make a lasting difference.

This Purple Thursday, our team wore purple to raise awareness and remember that every act of compassion can make a difference.
Last week, our Director Team had the opportunity to connect with our community SERV partners at the Hobart Police Department and capture our annual Purple Thursday photo in recognition of Domestic Violence and Intimate Partner Violence Awareness Month. Collaboration matters, and survivors deserve a network of compassionate professionals committed to standing with them throughout their journey.

Fair Haven RCC will be closed Monday, October 12, in observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

On this day, we recognize and honor the history, cultures, contributions, and resilience of Indigenous peoples and take time to reflect on the communities and traditions that have shaped our nation.

Our office will reopen during regular business hours on Tuesday, October 13.
