Fun and games before the big test! 🎉

HMS students wrapped up last week with an ATLAS pep rally—a fun way to celebrate all the learning and growth they’ve accomplished this year. Now it’s time to put that hard work into action!

With one day of testing complete, there are three more to go. Keep up the great work, HMS—we’re proud of you! Let’s finish strong, and we encourage everyone to be in attendance over the next few days. You’ve got this! 💪📚

Congratulations to Highland Middle School on being named the Bronze Winner in the Middle School Education category for the 2026 edition of Northeast Arkies Best! 🏆❤️🤍🩶

This publication celebrates the businesses, people, and places that Northeast Arkansas communities love most, as chosen by local voters.

Community members nominated their favorites across key categories including Agriculture, Eat & Drink, Education, Health & Beauty, Home & Garden, Law, Motors, Real Estate, Services, Shopping, and Things to Do. More than 3,700 businesses, individuals, and organizations from 14 counties were nominated and appeared on this year’s ballot, with winners representing Baxter, Clay, Craighead, Fulton, Greene, Independence, Izard, Jackson, Lawrence, Mississippi, Poinsett, Randolph, Sharp, and Stone counties.

Highland Middle School continues to be a place where students are supported, challenged, and encouraged to succeed—we are proud to celebrate HMS and all that they do for our students each day!

Thank you to everyone who participated in Family Game Night at HMS last night! ❤️🤍🩶

It was a night full of strategy, problem-solving, and most importantly—fun! We loved seeing our families come together while our students led the way through games and conversation.

HMS is proud to present “HMS Has Talent”

Our talented students—both individuals and groups—are ready to take the stage and showcase their creativity for our families and community.

The HMS Talent Show will take place on May 12 at 6:00 PM at Cherokee Elementary on the cafeteria stage. All are invited to join the fun! HMS Student Council will be selling drinks and popcorn.
