Thank you so much to all the people that helped us provide and deliver 18 baby carriers to shelter Hogar Santa Ana in Cali, Colombia. These young single moms now have the ability to work, go to appointments and manage their daily activities while carrying their babies along. The carriers will remain at the shelter so many other moms will continue to benefit from them in the future.

Did you know that the marimba was created in Colombia? There’s a long history of music in Colombia, but sadly there’s a shortage of instruments for kids. You can help by cleaning out your house of unused instruments and we’ll put them to great use. Message us to arrange for a pick up.

During the past 3 years, it has been very difficult for us to get back to Colombia to do the work we are so passionate about: helping enhance the education experience of children with limited resources. This year, we partnered with Ana Maria Ramirez Sierra from Instituto BuenaVista and Uriel Gonzalez from Institucion Educativa Baudilio Montoya and provided 10 grants to high school graduates heading to college. All recipients had to be enrolled in college and had to have a high SAT score in order to qualify. Meet Mario Montenegro Gomez, one of our proud recipients! Thank you to all of our amazing donors who have enable this to happen.

The plans for our next school visit in Colombia are under way, so it's time to start collecting school supplies!! As you set out to shop for your kids' supplies, maybe you could pick up a few extra items for our little amigos. An extra box of crayons, another pencil or two, a couple of erasers... Even the simplest gift will make a difference in the education experience of the children we work with.
