Douglas County will soon begin a reconstruction project along Highlands Ranch Parkway between Broadway and Burntwood Way. It is scheduled to begin Monday, June 8.

See the link below for details and ways to get project updates.

A smoother, more durable Highlands Ranch Parkway is on the way. Reconstruction between Broadway and Burntwood Way is scheduled to begin Monday, June 8, 2026, bringing long-lasting upgrades to one of the community's well-traveled corridors.

Originally built in the early 1980s, this section of Highlands Ranch Parkway has reached the end of its useful life. Instead of continuing short-term repairs, Douglas County is moving forward with a full reconstruction that will create a safer, more reliable roadway for daily commutes, school trips, neighborhood errands and visits to local businesses.

Court resurfacing at Southpark Pickleball Complex will begin June 1 due to aesthetic challenges with the initial court paint. This project is covered under warranty and is being completed at this time due to current weather conditions that allow for optimal workmanship and quality.

Throughout June, some courts may be temporarily closed while resurfacing work is completed. Please also note that drop-in courts 18 and 19 may be reserved at times for Metro District programming.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve the playing experience for our pickleball community!

Many thanks as well to our speakers and other participants who make this event so special.

As we celebrate America's 250th birthday this year, may we never forget the sacrifices of so many individuals and their families for our nation.
