On Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 4:55 p.m., officers of the Hightstown Police Department responded to numerous 9-1-1 calls regarding a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of North Main Street and Monmouth Street. Upon arrival, officers observed a collision between an E-Bike and a pick-up truck with an attached trailer.

The driver of the E-Bike sustained serious injuries and was transported to Capital Health, Helene Fuld Campus, Trenton by East Windsor Emergency Medical Services 147-1, accompanied by paramedics 794 from Capital Health. The driver of the pick-up truck remained on scene and was cooperative with the investigation. Due to families not being notified at the time of this press release, names and identities of the driver(s) are not being released. This is a fluid and active investigation.

Hightstown Police Department was aided in the investigation by the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Officer, Serious Collision Response Team.

Any witnesses to this incident are encouraged to contact the Hightstown Police Department, specifically Det. Philip Esposito or Lt. Benjamin Miller at (609) 448-1234.

Yesterday marked a historic day in the history of the Robbinsville Township Police Department as our Communications Center officially assumed dispatch responsibilities for the Hightstown Police Department.

This significant milestone reflects the continued evolution of our agency and the strong partnership between Robbinsville Township and Hightstown Borough in advancing shared public safety services.

The successful transition is the result of extensive planning, coordination, and collaboration focused on ensuring seamless emergency communications and uninterrupted service to both communities.

The Robbinsville Township Police Department extends its sincere appreciation to our Communications Officers for their professionalism, dedication, and tireless efforts throughout this process. Their commitment to excellence has been instrumental in making this transition successful.

We also wish to thank the Hightstown Police Department for its cooperation and partnership, as well as Robbinsville Township Mayor Mike Todd, Hightstown Borough Mayor Susan Bluth, and the elected officials of Robbinsville Township and Hightstown Borough for their continued support, leadership, and shared commitment to public safety.

As our department continues preparations for the transition into our new police headquarters, this accomplishment represents another important step forward in enhancing the services we provide to our residents and neighboring communities.

Today we proudly congratulate, Sgt. Francisco “Frank” Jimenez, on his retirement from the Hightstown Police Department after 20 years of dedicated service.

Over two decades, Sgt. Jimenez built a career defined by courage and an unwavering commitment to the residents of Hightstown. Fearless in the line of duty and respected by his peers.

Throughout his distinguished career, Sgt. Jimenez served in numerous critical roles, including Patrolman, Internal Affairs Investigator, Detective, Fi****ms Instructor (rifle and pistol), Training Officer, Rifle and Pistol Armorer, and Patrol Sergeant. His dedication to training and operational readiness strengthened the department and helped prepare the next generation of officers.

His service was further recognized through the receipt of multiple commendations, including multiple Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Enforcement Awards, Officer of the Year Award, and two Life-Saving Awards. Honors that reflect both his proactive enforcement efforts and his commitment to protecting and preserving life.

Beyond the badge, Frank is known as an outstanding friend, family man and devoted father. His character on duty and at home reflects the very best of the profession.

Sgt. Jimenez will be missed by his brothers and sisters in law enforcement and by the community he served so proudly. We thank him for 20 years of honorable and distinguished service and wish him a long, healthy, and well-earned retirement.
