We will have a snack during our book reading of "Harry the Dirty Dog". After story time, there will be a sticker activity. All supplies will be provided on a first come, first serve basis.

Good morning, residents.

Here is our latest water conservation update. While recent rainfall has provided some relief, Burke County remains under 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗜𝗜 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.

We appreciate everyone's continued efforts to conserve water and ask that residents continue limiting non-essential water use whenever possible.

The band and fireworks can not safely set up due to the weather conditions.

The fireworks have been rescheduled for the July 25 Cruise-In.

The Time Capsule display will be rescheduled for a later date.
More details to come.

HHDA MEMORIAL DAY CAR SHOW-AMERICA 250-FIREWORKS

The Memorial Day Car Show will happen rain or shine in Hildebran tomorrow, May 23, 2026. The road is closed at 5:00 PM and the event will go until 9:00 PM with fireworks at dusk.

HHDA will be selling hamburgers, hotdogs and ice cream for dessert.
Brewed to Perfection will be joining us along with a taco truck in the Town Hall parking lot.

Mayor Hildebrand will speak on the Time Capsule and town history around 6:00 PM.
All time capsule contents will be displayed on the concrete pad in front of the gym.
The town will have America 250 merch available as well, so check in with them for all the goodies.

If the weather becomes too difficult for the Time Capsule material to be kept safe outside, all material will be moved into the gym and can be viewed there during the car show event.

50 years in the making... Hildebran History

The 50 year time capsule, located on EBYAO Royals property has officially been exhumed.

Thanks to Walker Logistics, the Time Capsule was removed from the ground on Saturday Morning, May 16, 2026. The Town scheduled to remove the Time Capsule on that day in preparation of the HHDA Memorial Day Car Show and America 250 Celebration happening on May 23, 2026.

The contents of the Time Capsule will be on display at the HHDA Memorial Day Car Show, on the concrete pad near the gym for all to come and inspect themselves. The car show will start at 5:00 PM and run until 9:00 PM. The band Night Moves will be performing and FIREWORKS will finish out the fantastic night!

While the contents were heavily water damaged, there are many items that are still intact that give us a glimpse of our history and where our town has came from. All materials will be given to Hildebran Heritage Museum for display, including the plaque located on top of the concrete pad. This was able to be removed thanks to a tool donation from Espey Hardware & Garden Supply.

Please come out to the HHDA Memorial Day Car Show and America 250 Celebration on May 23, 2026 from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM and see the happenings from 50 years ago. There are a few items that are unrecognizable that we would love to learn more about.

We would like to thank everyone who helped make our Storybook Trail a success. Thank you to Beth Zimmerman Heile and the Burke River Trail, EBHS student Aubrey S., all the donors, and especially all the volunteers who came out yesterday to help install the pedestals. The Hildebran Storybook Trail is now completed. Visit our park periodically, as the books will be changed out several times over the year.

If you would like to serve on the Town's Planning Board/Board of Adjustment committee, now is your chance! Beginning July 1, we have 3 open positions that will serve for 3 years, and 1 open alternate position that will serve for 1 year.

If you are interested, please complete the application below and return it to Alice Sanders at [email protected], or you can drop off the application at Town Hall. The deadline to submit an application for consideration is Noon on Friday, 6/12.

Council will appoint the new members at its June 22nd regular meeting.

You MUST be a Town citizen to apply.
