🎉 The Standing Stone State Park Snack Bar is Back Open! 🎉

We’re excited to announce that the Standing Stone State Park Snack Bar reopened on May 23, 2026, along with the pool for the 2026 Summer Season!

After repairs following the June 2025 facility fire, the snack bar has a fresh new look and is ready to serve our guests once again.

We would like to thank all of the community partners who assisted during the fire response, the Standing Stone State Park staff for their hard work, and Tennessee State Parks' East Tennessee Regional Facility Maintenance for their support with the repairs, renovations, and overall transformation of the facility.

Thank you to all of our guests for your patience and support. We look forward to seeing you at the pool and snack bar this season!

Join Jackson Sutton, Standing Stone State Park Ranger, for a brief discussion about our fellow mammalian architect, the American Beaver, before going on an adventure in hopes of seeing one. Seeing a beaver dam, lodge, and their signs is almost guaranteed. The entire program will last about 1.5 hours and we will be hike through the woods (not on trails). Meet at the Park Visitor Center & be prepared for a carpool and a "off the beaten path" hike to the site(s) of Jackson’s choice. Please bring shoes to hike in, clothes you don't mind getting messy, bug spray, and water.

Today is National Wear Your Life Jacket to Work Day! 🛶

Standing Stone State Park is committed to promoting boating safety both on and off the water. As warmer weather arrives and summer activities ramp up, we encourage everyone to wear a life jacket while boating or paddling. It’s a simple step that can make all the difference. Stay safe and enjoy a fun-filled boating season! ☀️🌊

Join Ranger Sutton as we clean up an old swimming hole by removing vegetation from the beach area. We will be using clippers and loppers to remove the undergrowth that has accumulated over the years, covering the historical stonework; as well as removing tree debris to beautify this area. The volunteer event will be roughly 4 hours of clearing and removing vegetation, so make sure to bring anything you would need to work outside including water and appropriate clothing. Bug spray is recommended. We will be meeting at the park office and then driving down to the site. Feel free to email me with any questions.

We just wanted to say THANK YOU! To these wonderful volunteers that came out today for our volunteer event, assisting Ranger Aaron in removing undesirable understory species and transplanting Native Rivercane Rhizomes along Mill Creek.
