The 388th Tactical Fighter Wing (now the 388th Fighter Wing) became the Air Force's first fully operational F-16 Fighting Falcon combat operational unit in 1979, marking the beginning of a new era in tactical aviation at Hill Air Force Base.

Come see inside the C-119 Flying Boxcar during Fly-by Friday!
The aircraft will be open for a walk through from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, giving you the chance to step aboard and explore this remarkable piece of aviation history.
During the Korean War, the U.S. Air Force used the C-119 as a military transport, carrying troops, cargo, and equipment around the world. During the Vietnam War, the aircraft was modified into the AC-119G, an attack variant equipped with four side-firing 7.62 mm miniguns in the fuselage to provide close air support.
