Most of the base struts are finished. Only a handful remain to be chipped/scaled. They, and the new pieces (gray) need to be washed, sealed and coated against the elements. Then Phase 1 is done!

Base struts are coming along. They have to have all the pitting/rust ground off, pressure washed, and sealed with this inert coating. Last thing will be paint, so they’ll be white for a while. Once the full restoration is completed, we’ll go back and do a cosmetic covering around these struts to make them look like new again.
