Today we celebrate the birth of John the Baptist, the first person in Scripture to recognize Jesus as the Son of God apart from Mary herself.

While pregnant with Jesus, Mary went to visit her elderly cousin Elizabeth, who herself was pregnant with John. John, an unborn child, leaped in his mother’s womb in the presence of the unborn Christ.

This is only one of three birth dates the Church recognizes as feast days, the other two being the births of Jesus and Mary. St. John the Baptist, pray for us!

We offer many free and confidential services at our Hillsboro office including pregnancy tests, clothes for mom and baby, diapers and wipes for baby’s first year, a variety of resource referrals, and most importantly we are someone you can talk to. We are a non-judgmental listening ear, a friend. No matter what you are going through, we are here to help. Walk-ins are always welcome at our office and no appointment is needed.
