What is Social-Emotional Learning (SEL)?
SEL is a method that teaches children of all ages how to understand and feel their emotions while also learning empathy for others. The five main areas of SEL can help children make positive and responsible decisions, achieve their goals, and build positive relationships with others.

Tomorrow we will discuss how to build these skills!

🌱 Introducing Our Social Emotional Learning Series! 🌱

Mental health is something we all experience, manage, and need support with - especially our youth. That’s why we’re launching a weeklong Social Emotional Learning (SEL) series to help you support the young people in your life.

SEL helps youth:
- Build self-awareness
- Manage emotions
- Strengthen relationships
- Make responsible decisions

Join us over the next week as we explore practical ways to foster these essential skills. Whether you're a parent, educator, mentor, or community member, this series is for you.

Recovery Week 2026 starts August 31st this year.

We will kick off the week with our annual Overdose Awareness Walk and Celebration of Life Event this year. August 31st represents International Overdose Awareness Day.

Then we will roll into a series of other FREE events that are open to all community members. Our planning committee is committed to raising awareness and reducing the stigma. September is National Recovery Month.

The only day that requires registration is the lunch and learn on Wednesday. Scan QR code below to reserve your spot.

Please share with friends, family, clients, patients, consumers, etc. We would love to see everyone there. These events are FREE and open to all.

We hope to see you there!
