We’re expecting hot temperatures in the mid-90s. As temperatures climb, there are several things to keep in mind to :

☀️ Stay out of the sun to prevent health-related illnesses like heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

👨‍👩‍👦 Twice a day, check on friends, family and neighbors who may have a higher risk of heat-related illnesses.

🚗 Never leave infants, pets or children in parked cars – it can get dangerously hot quickly.

🌊 Be careful out on the water, our local rivers are very cold and moving fast! Wear a life jacket and swim with a buddy.

What happens when a bike hits a recycling cart? It turns into a DE-cycling cart. 🙃 That joke might be funny - running into a cart in the road is not.

As the weather gets nicer, we see more bikes on the road. Please remember to keep bikers and walkers safe. If you need put garbage and recycling carts in a bike lane or other right-of-way, please remove them as soon as possible after collection.

Thank you and happy National Bike Month!
🚲🚲🚲

Strawberry season is upon us! Moisture is the biggest contributor to rotting berries, so don't wash until you're ready to eat. You can also try rinsing in a vinegar-water solution and then drying them for the longest shelf life. Remove any rotting ones immediately.
🍓🍓🍓

Because there's nothing worse than buying fresh strawberries only for them to go to waste.
