Today you may notice blue pinwheels placed at the courthouse by our volunteer CPS board members. Each one represents a child and serves as a reminder of something we all share responsibility for—protecting the children in our community.

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, and these pinwheels are a symbol of the happy, healthy childhood every child deserves. They may look simple, but they carry a heavy meaning.

It takes all of us—neighbors, teachers, families, and community members—being aware, speaking up, and supporting one another to make sure our kids are safe.

We’re proud to be part of a county that shows up for its kids.

This April, the Hill County CPS Board stands together to raise awareness and prevent child abuse and neglect. Every child in our community deserves to feel safe, loved, and protected — and real change begins with all of us.

The blue ribbon represents our shared commitment to hope and healing. The pinwheels remind us that small actions today can create big change for tomorrow.
