Library Director Position
Hillsboro Area Public Library District in Hillsboro, Illinois is accepting applications to hire a Library Director. The Director should have experience in all aspects of library operations. A master’s in library science degree is preferred but individuals with a bachelor’s degree in other areas of study are welcome to apply. New graduates will be considered. Individuals with customer service, basic accounting, and computer applications are important. The applicant will interact with local organizations, school librarians, and the school district. The successful applicant can be taught State of Illinois rules and regulations for libraries, library policies and reports. This is a 40 hour per week position. Evening or weekend duties are rarely required. Salary is based on education and experience. Salary and benefits will be discussed with final candidates.
