It’s never too early to set goals and start working toward them! We want our 6th-grade families to be aware of the requirements for induction into the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) during the second semester of 6th grade.
Students should be working toward:
📚 A 92 average in core classes
⭐ Good conduct, character, and citizenship
🏆 Participation on a UIL team

🧊🔬 Scientists in the Making at HIS! 🔬🧊

Our 4th graders are LOVING their time in the Science Lab! ❤️🖤

Today, students put their scientist hats on as they classified and described the physical state and temperature of an ice cube. They worked through the entire scientific method, made observations, collected data, and documented their results along the way! 📝🧪

We love seeing our students learning through hands-on experiences, curiosity, and discovery. We are so proud of all the future scientists we see in the making at HIS! 🥼🔬🦅🩵🪴😎

During Professional Development, our HIS staff came together as a school family to create our Campus Respect Agreement! 🦅❤️
Our staff experienced the same process that will be modeled in each classroom as teachers work with their students to create their own Classroom Respect Agreements.🦅❤️
This process gives every voice a place at the table and helps build respect, ownership, consistency, and unity across our campus. When students and staff work together to define how we want to treat one another, we strengthen the positive culture we want throughout HIS.🦅❤️ 🩵 🪴 😎
