We wanted to let you know that our old library software continues to send email notifications, including books that have already been returned. We are aware of the problem, but are currently unable to fix the issue from our end. Hopefully this bug will be cleared up soon.

In the meantime, with our new cataloging system, you are able to sign in and view your account! To do so, visit our website home page at https://hillsboro.lib.nckls.org/ and click on the orange catalog button at the top of the page. From there, you will be taken to our new catalog. Looking at the screen, on your right there will be a sign in box where you will fill in your patron number and PIN (last four digits of the phone number associated with your account).

Once you're signed in, the navigation bar will be on your left side, including a summary tab. Here you can see what books are currently checked out to you, as well as request renewals!

Thank you all for your continued patience as we learn our new system!

We want to give a big shout out to the group of people - including these Hillsboro Middle and High School students - for volunteering their muscles this morning to help us move boxes of books and furniture. It's good to tie up a few more loose ends from our renovation!

UPDATE: We're covered for volunteers for this project!

Can you lend a hand...er...muscle? Hillsboro Public Library is in need of a small group of volunteers who are able to carry boxes of books (and one piece of furniture) from the library down to a basement storage room at Emprise Bank. Our hope is to start this project around 10:30 am on Friday, June 5! It shouldn't take longer than 15-30 minutes, depending on the number of volunteers.

Not able to help on this project but are interested in other volunteer opportunities at the library? Send an email to [email protected] or talk to staff to be included in a volunteer email group.

Did you know the Hillsboro Public Library is 100 this year? To mark the milestone, this year our Summer Reading Program theme is "Let's Celebrate" and we wanted our front book display to look the part. We purchased new birthday board books and picture books that line the shelves, plus a selection of games available for check out. Additionally, the display features an interactive element... don't know what to read next? Let the wheel decide!
