Today we had the opportunity to host Career Day at the Highland County Sheriff’s Office, and it was an incredible experience!

We were proud to welcome students into our world and give them a behind-the-scenes look at what it really means to serve our community. From patrol operations to investigations, and everything in between, these future leaders got to see firsthand the many paths a career in law enforcement and public service can take.

One of the highlights of the day was explaining the role of our Drug Task Force. Students learned how our task force works to investigate drug-related activity, collaborate with other agencies, and take proactive steps to reduce the impact of drugs in our community. We also talked about how these efforts focus not only on enforcement, but on protecting lives and strengthening the safety of our county.

We also shared information about our RISE (Recovery & Intervention Support Enforcement) program, showing how law enforcement goes beyond enforcement—helping connect individuals struggling with addiction to the resources and support they need to rebuild their lives.

In addition, our Victim Witness program was highlighted, demonstrating how we provide support, guidance, and advocacy for victims throughout the justice process. It’s a vital part of what we do, ensuring no one has to face difficult situations alone.

It was inspiring to see so much curiosity, respect, and interest from the students. We’re grateful for the opportunity to connect, educate, and hopefully inspire the next generation.

Thank you to everyone who helped make today possible!

As we close out this year, RISE wants to take a moment to reflect with gratitude and hope. This past year reminded us that recovery is possible, change is real, and every step forward—no matter how small—matters.

We are deeply thankful for our partners, community members, and most importantly, the individuals who chose courage, growth, and healing. Your strength is the heart of RISE.

As we step into 2026, we look forward with renewed commitment to support, connection, and compassion. May this new year bring continued progress, second chances, and a stronger, healthier community for all.

Here’s to new beginnings, continued recovery, and rising together. 💙

🎄✨ After Christmas, Before the New Year — There Is Still Hope ✨🎄

The holidays can be a joyful time, but they can also be heavy. After the gifts are opened and the decorations come down, many people are left feeling overwhelmed, alone, or unsure of what comes next.

As we step into a new year, RISE wants you to know this:
You don’t have to start over alone.

A new year doesn’t mean you have to have everything figured out. It simply means there is another chance — another step forward, another opportunity for healing, recovery, and support.

If you or someone you love is struggling after the holidays, RISE is here. Whether it’s resources, guidance, or just someone willing to listen, our goal is to help you move forward with hope and strength.

🎆 New year. New beginnings. Same support.
💙 Reach out. You matter. Recovery is possible.

Operation Bridge was a great success! A total of 61 traffic stops were conducted, and 4 individuals were referred to treatment for recovery support.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to assist and to all the law enforcement officers and agencies who helped make this operation possible. It was truly a pleasure to be a part of such a meaningful event — one focused on both enforcement and compassion, working together to make our community safer and stronger.

Happy Mother’s Day from RISE

Today, we honor all the incredible mothers in our community — the ones who give endlessly, love fiercely, and never stop fighting for their families.

We also want to recognize the moms on a journey of recovery. Your strength, courage, and commitment to growth inspire us every day. Healing is not easy, but your determination to build a better future for yourself and your children is powerful.

To all the mothers — in every stage of life, recovery, and motherhood — we see you, we support you, and we celebrate you.

Happy Mother’s Day. You matter. You are loved. You are not alone.

💛💛💛
This week is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week!

We want to take a moment to honor and thank the incredible dispatchers and 911 operators who are the first point of contact in an emergency. These dedicated professionals work tirelessly behind the scenes—calmly gathering critical information, sending help, and offering reassurance during some of life’s most stressful moments.

They are truly the calm voices in the chaos, and our community couldn’t function without them.

To all of our public safety telecommunicators: we see you, we appreciate you, and we thank you for your service and sacrifice.

Happy National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week!
