**ROAD CLOSED FOR OLD SETTLERS CAR SHOW **

Friendly reminder! On SUNDAY AUGUST 4, 2024, South Main Street will be closed starting at 6AM for this year's annual Old Settlers Car Show. The closure will extend from Tilson St to the North, including the Historic Courthouse Square.

NO PARKING - Please be advised that any vehicles left parked on the street will be subject to removal at the owner's expense.

Thank you for your understanding, and enjoy the car show!

Obviously with the current weather that we are experiencing, the roads are not in the best condition for travel.
If you are able to do so, stay home.
If you have to be on the roads, plan accordingly.
Be sure to have plenty of gas, extra warm clothes and a blanket in your vehicle, and allow yourself extra time to reach your destination.

The Hillsboro Auxiliary Police Department is going to be on the street later today to assist in traffic control for the Simeon Huber Christmas Parade.
The parade will run from Beckemeyer to Fairground to Oak and disperse once the vehicles have passed the Huber home.
We are out here to help ensure everyone's safety, please be kind and courteous and enjoy your holiday season.

Due to the rainstorms Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning, the process of posting the No Parking signs along the parade route and parade detour route has been delayed.
Our crew is out there working diligently to get everything marked to ensure the safety of everyone during tonight's Old Settlers Parade.

A huge Thank You to Old Settlers Committee member Rodney Stewart for helping set the countless steaks for all of the No Parking signs that will be put up over the next couple of days.

Success is what happens when volunteer organizations come together for a common goal!

Good morning to all my Hillsboro and Montgomery county friends and family!!
The Old Settlers closures for some parts of Hillsboro will happen this evening at 5 o’clock!!
Please be aware and cautious driving around. There are crews out prepping today and will be most of the event due to inclement weather being in our forecast!
There will be minor detours Wednesday evening for the Queen’s Parade.
As well as Thursday morning for the kiddie parade!
Then the major detour will be Thursday evening for the Big Parade!
Please be polite to the members of the Hillsboro Auxiliary Police Department, we aid the Police Department and the city crews! We are volunteers!!!
