NOTICE OF MEETINGS OF THE 2026 ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF
EQUALIZATION AND REVIEW

The 2026 Orange County Board of Equalization and Review will
convene for its first meeting on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 1:00 p.m.

This meeting, and all meetings listed below, will be held in the
Tax Conference Room on the 3rd floor of the Gateway Center,
228 South Churton Street in Hillsborough.

The Board will also meet on the following days at 1:00 p.m.:

Tuesday, May 26, & Wednesday, May 27
Tuesday, June 9, Wednesday, June 10 & Thursday, June 11
Tuesday, June 23, Wednesday, June 24 & Thursday, June 25
Tuesday, June 30 - Meeting to Adjourn

The purpose of each meeting is to receive and hear taxpayer appeals regarding 2026 real and personal property valuations. The Board will adjourn from receiving new appeals at its June 30 hearing. In the event of any change in the adjournment date, notice to that effect will be published in this newspaper.

All appeals must be submitted prior to the Board’s adjournment on Tuesday, June 30, 2026

5. Public Hearings
a. Public Hearing and Resolution for Orange County to Participate in the North Carolina Commercial Property Assessed Capital Expenditure (C-PACE) Program
The Board will hold a public hearing, receive public comment, close the public hearing, and consider action on a Resolution for Orange County to Participate in the North Carolina Commercial Property Assessed Capital Expenditure (C-PACE) Program.

6. Regular Agenda
a. Review of Design Options for the Crisis Diversion Facility
The Board will review design options and associated project budgets for the Crisis Diversion Facility, select a preferred option, and direct the Manager to finalize the design with the architect and construction manager in order to prepare a guaranteed maximum price (GMP) for Board consideration in late 2025.
b. Discussion of the Draft School Construction Interlocal Agreement
The Board will discuss and provide feedback to the Manager on the draft School Construction Interlocal Agreement (ILA) with both School Districts.

7. Reports
a. Update on Revaluation Appeals and Neighborhood Reviews
The Board will receive an update on the status of property tax appeals and neighborhood level reviews following the 2025 revaluation.
