Orange Congregations In Mission is a private non-profit ministry composed of close to 50 congregations in northern Orange County, North Carolina. As a human services organization, OCIM strives to meet the emergency needs of those who find themselves in a crisis situation.

When the shelves get low, our Board shows up! ❤️

Board member Marilyn saw the need and came ready to help, while Rev. Umstead took a look at some of the empty shelves that remind us just how great the need is right now.

At OCIM, serving our neighbors takes all of us—staff, volunteers, Board members, churches, donors, and community partners.

Our Food Pantry shelves are still low, and we need your help filling them back up! 🥫🛒 Every donation matters, and every item helps us continue serving our neighbors with dignity and care.

OCIM serves neighbors throughout our community who rely on the food pantry for food and essential household items. Right now, we need your help restocking our shelves!

From canned goods and pantry staples to fresh produce, toiletries, and laundry detergent, every donation—large or small—makes a difference.

🛒 Consider adding a few extra items to your cart this week and donating them to OCIM. Together, we can make sure our neighbors have what they need.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the OCIM Thrift Shop will be closed this Saturday.

What a wonderful day of community, connection, and fun! 💙📚🚒

OCIM was excited to be a part of Mt. Bright Baptist Church’s Annual Back to School Community Event this past weekend! We loved meeting families, sharing information about the resources and programs available through OCIM, and connecting with our neighbors.

And yes…our Executive Director couldn’t resist climbing aboard the fire truck with members of the Orange County Fire Department! 🚒 It was definitely one of the highlights of the day!

Thank you to Mt. Bright Baptist Church for inviting us to be part of such a meaningful event and to everyone who stopped by our table. Together, we’re building a stronger, more connected community!

As we look back on some of the highlights of our summer, we couldn’t let this moment go by without saying thank you to Hillsborough Community Church! 💙💚

They blessed our OCIM staff with a delicious lunch, and it was such a thoughtful encouragement during a busy season of serving our community.

Fresh is always a blessing! 🍅💚

A heartfelt thank you to Spring Forest at Perkins School of Theology for donating 26 pounds of fresh tomatoes to OCIM!

We love being able to provide fresh, healthy produce to the individuals and families we serve. Donations like these help nourish our community while reminding our neighbors that they are seen, valued, and cared for.
