Empact Tennis aims to introduce more people to a sport they can love for a lifetime, develop players holistically, as well as connect communities and build diverse and inclusive relationships through FUN and active programming. Weekends are for relaxation and restoration. Find your balance with Saturday morning Tai Chi at the Central Recreation Center and/or Sunday morning Tai Chi at Blackwood Farm Park.

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese exercise system that includes methods of sequenced movements derived from martial arts with graceful and smooth transitions to achieve a state of relaxation of body & mind. Registration closes one week prior to class start, so don't delay!

The goal of the practice, ultimately, is to guide us on a path towards a healthier existence. Start your journey wherever you are and begin your discovery. Go at your own pace. Yoga is for everyone.

Chef classes๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ are among our most popular programs. Chef Senior is designed for older chefs ages 9-11-years-old. Chef Senior reinforces reading recipes and basic kitchen skills such as knife skills and proper food handling. Children are encouraged to prepare the recipes as a group with guidance from staff when needed. Register by September 3 for our September-October session.

In Bake Shop, Senior Chefs will create bakery-inspired treats while learning real kitchen techniques used by pastry chefs.

This introduction to the kitchen teaches children how to read a recipe; basic kitchen skills such as mixing, measuring, and beginner knife skills; and how to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. Children are encouraged to prepare the recipes as a group with staff support. Register by September 2 for our September-October session.

In Baking Basics, Junior Chefs will learn real baking skills while creating tasty recipes like cookies, muffins, soft pretzels, cupcakes, and more.

So excited to see our friends, old and new, back in After School today! Here's to a great year!

The After School program provides enrichment learning including physical activity and fitness, homework assistance, STEAM-based activities in the areas of science, engineering, art, music, and more. The program operates from school dismissal until 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday when school is in session. After School follows Orange County Schools Traditional Academic Calendar for Students.

After School is located at the Central Recreation Center in downtown Hillsborough and serves students enrolled at Central, Grady Brown, New Hope, Pathways, and River Park Elementary schools with transportation provided from school to the site daily.
