Congratulations to the NH Mountain Kings Hockey Club and Delta Dental Arena in Hooksett for their commitment to safety and preparedness by partnering with Great Brook Academy to provide CPR, AED, and First Aid training for their staff.

Participants successfully completed a comprehensive certification course that included lifesaving CPR techniques, proper AED use, and essential first aid skills. These are critical tools that empower individuals to respond confidently during emergencies and potentially save lives.

The New Hampton Fire Department recently participated in a valuable hands-on training opportunity hosted by Great Brook Academy. Firefighters worked through realistic scenarios, including an auto extrication and the rescue and extrication of an injured pregnant patient following a fall in the woods.

Experiential learning is one of the most effective ways to build skills and confidence, and Great Brook Academy continues to provide outstanding training opportunities that prepare first responders for real-world emergencies.

A big thank you to all the members of the New Hampton Fire Department for their dedication to training and professional development. Your commitment ensures that your community can feel confident knowing you are ready to respond when help is needed most.

Great Brook EMS would like to recognize and congratulate three members of our EMS family on their recent academic achievements!

Logan Coutermarsh recently graduated from Windsor High School, and Wyatt Coutermarsh and Jackson Coutermarsh both celebrated their graduation from 8th grade at Weathersfield School.

These young men have not only worked hard in the classroom, but have also dedicated their time to serving their community through Great Brook EMS, helping provide care to those who are sick or injured.

We are proud of all they have accomplished and look forward to seeing what the future holds for each of them. Congratulations, Logan, Wyatt, and Jackson! We wish you continued success in the years ahead and look forward to many more seasons working alongside you.

During National EMS Week Great Brook EMS wants to recognize and celebrate those employees that are not seen often but keep Great Brook EMS running. Without them we could not operate at the level of efficiency that we do. Donny Holland is our facilities manager. He maintains our building, the classroom, SIM lab, does our carpentry and our heavy landscaping. He ensures that all our facilities are maintained and safe for everyone. Wyatt Coutermarsh, Jackson Coutermarsh, and Logan Coutermarsh are our three EMS assistants that work alongside our providers at motocross and racing events. They bring knowledge in equipment and gear removal, bike and race car operation, and help with extricating patients, moving equipment, cleaning and disinfecting supplies, as well as safely operating around the track venues. They bring an added level of safety to what we do when at the tracks. Each of these individuals play a major part in ensuring that Great Brook EMS operates at a professional level. And we thank them on this National EMS Week.

Beginning a new career can be daunting. But several people have done just that with Great Brook EMS over the last year. We participated in the National Apprenticeship program and partnered with several people who either took their first EMT course with us or expanded their scope of education to a higher level. During this National EMS week, we celebrate those individuals who have successfully completed their Apprenticeship programs and obtained full status as Emergency Medical Technicians or Certified Community Health Care Workers with an awards ceremony, certificates, and certification pins. As Great Brook EMS plunges into National EMS week we wanted to celebrate all of our employees and providers with some gifts to show our appreciation. Over this week you will see GBEMS folks wearing their new EMS Week shirts. Also a special gift from our medical control hospital, Catholic Medical Center, a set of Raptor EMS shears. We hope these gifts will serve our team well this week and into the future. Great Brook EMS would like to recognize that today marks the begining of the National EMS week. This is a week in which we recognize those working in the field of Emergency Medical Services. This year's theme is "Improving Outcomes, Together". This exemplifies the efforts that EMS providers do on a daily basis working with other allied healthcare professionals to improve the outcomes of the patients that we serve. Great Brook EMS will be recognizing all of our employees and providers this week. We will begin tonight with an awards ceremony, Cookout, and a special guest speaker coming from Catholic Medical Center to provide education on SEPSIS. All this week we will post more from our week long celebration. We hope you follow along and enjoy!
