We had some fun at the Paint & Sip sessions at the Palettes & Petals Art Show & Garden Tour this Saturday!

During the first session, Carol Briner taught participants how to paint a board with American Flag 🇺🇸 and each artist got to choose their own designs for the stars.

During the second session, Susie Britton led the group through ways you can paint on glass bottles and they made some cool designs!

This portion of the event will be from 11am to 1:30pm and it is FREE! This is open to the community and all ages are welcome to enjoy!

The Palettes & Petals Art Show & Garden Tour event is TOMORROW!!!

Join us at Perennial Park TOMORROW, Saturday, June 6th from 10am-4pm for this exciting community event! All ages are welcome!!

At this event, you can:

-Go on a garden tour between 10am and 1pm around public and private gardens throughout Hillsdale County. Garden Tour tickets are $5 per person and self-guided. If you are interested in joining the group garden tour trip, please let us know! The van will leave at 11am.

-Visit the Center for an Arts & Craft Show from 10am-2pm, where there will be a variety of artwork and crafts to see from local artists/crafters.

-Enjoy some ice cream and craft making from 11am-1:30pm at the Ice Cream Social and Kid's Crafts sponsored by Meijer.

-Participate in a Paint & Sip session (or two) from 2-4pm where you can enjoy some refreshments while creating art that you get to take home! Paint & Sip sessions are $20 for one and $30 for both. There are limited spots, so please RSVP at your earliest convenience.

The first Paint & Sip session will be from 2-3pm with Carol Briner and she will be guiding you in making an American Flag/Patriotic Board. The second Paint & Sip session will be from 3-4pm with Susie Britton and she will be showing you how to create some beautiful painted bottles to decorate your home with!

The next Bingo at Perennial Park event is TONIGHT, Thursday, June 4th from 5:45-9 pm! Doors open at 5pm and bingo starts at 5:45pm.

Come on over and play some bingo to win cash prizes and support a local non-profit!

Booklets are 6 on 10 for $20 ($2 per game). Games include regular bingo, specialty games, and a coverall. Charity Game Tickets are also available to win even more cash prizes! Daubers and concessions are available as well!

We will have a FREE Ice Cream Social and Kid's Craft portion of our Palettes & Petals Art Show & Garden Tour event on Saturday, June 6th from 11 am to 1:30 pm!

The event will be held at the Center located at 320 W. Bacon Street in Hillsdale!

All ages are welcome to join and again, IT IS FREE! This portion of the event is sponsored by Meijer!

There will be an assortment of ice cream and toppings as well as some fun crafts to make such as painting small flower pots and adding a flower to take home!

Donations are appreciated, but not required. All proceeds from this event go towards the Centers programs and services such as Meals on Wheels, Adult Day Care, our Fitness Center (open to those 13 and older), and many more!

SPOTS ARE FILLING UP FAST!!

Our Palettes & Petals Art Show & Garden Tour is just around the corner! Sign up for a Paint & Sip session before they fill up! The event is on Saturday, June 6th from 10am-4pm.

Paint & Sip Sessions will be from 2-4 pm. They are two 1-hour Paint & Sip sessions where you can create some artwork while sipping on some refreshments. The tickets are $20 for one session and $30 to do both.

The first session (2-3pm) will be with Carol Briner and she will be guiding you in painting the American flag on a wooden board - there are some interchangeable options to fit your preference for your patriotic board. This will be a great decoration for the 250th Anniversary of the nation!

The second session (3-4pm) will be with Susie Britton and she will be teaching you ways to paint beautiful designs on wine bottles. These are a great decor piece to add to your home or garden!

Smiles on Wheels will be administering FREE oral health assessments at the Center on Friday, June 25th! To sign-up, please call the Center at 517-437-2422 or Smiles on Wheels at 517-740-7422.

Each participant will have an oral health assessment, including an Oral Cancer Screening for FREE! You will also receive free oral health aids: toothbrush, toothpaste, denture supplies, dry mouth products, etc.

Here is the schedule of events:
-Smiles on Wheels presentation: 10:30 am to 10:50 am
-Oral assessments: 11:00 am to 12:00 pm
-Congregate Lunch: 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm
-Bingo: 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm (may extend to 3pm). Bingo prizes include oral hygiene products such as electric toothbrushes.

The Senior Smile Survey is supported by the Delta Dental Foundation. By participating, you will help Michigan learn more about the oral health needs of older adults. All of your information will be kept confidential.
