🚒🔥 TODAY IS VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS RECOGNITION DAY! 🔥🚒

Today, August 18, Quad City Fire Wire proudly recognizes the men and women who volunteer their time, training, and lives to protect their communities.

These firefighters are our neighbors, friends, family members, coworkers, and community leaders. When the tones drop, they leave whatever they’re doing and answer the call, day or night, in the heat of summer or the bitter cold of winter.

They respond to fires, crashes, medical emergencies, rescues, disasters, and countless other calls for help. They do it not for recognition or a paycheck, but because they believe in serving their communities. ❤️‍🔥

To every volunteer firefighter across the Quad Cities and surrounding communities:

THANK YOU. 👨‍🚒👩‍🚒

Thank you for your sacrifice.
Thank you for your courage.
Thank you for the countless hours of training.
Thank you for missing holidays, dinners, sleep, and family time.
Thank you for always being willing to answer the call.

We would like to send a big THANK YOU to Rock Island County Farm Bureau for delivering our Large Animal Rescue Loop Sling Kit!
A few of us from our department attended the Large Animal Rescue Operations Class that was put on by IFSI Illinois Fire Service Institute while our Assistant Chief was one of the instructors!
This class was sponsored by several of the local Farm Bureaus including Marshall-Putnam, Knox, Stark, Henry, Mercer and Rock Island counties.
We are happy to accept this donation so we can be even more prepared in times of emergency.

Come help support Tiffany Noel and Jordyn Adams, Cadets with Hillsdale Fire Department. They are working to raise money to go to Explorer Fire College in Champaign IL in July. Their fundraising goal is to reach at least $3,000! You can help support with Trying out our Rescue Refresher and Tiffany and Jordyn will be passing the Boot for donation Saturday 6/20 from 9-12 in front of Pulse 84!!

Last night was training night. We took the boat out on the river to run the motors and get some training with our new members!

⚾️🖤💛 Come check out our 10U and 11U teams Tuesday at 5:30pm and Wednesday at 6pm.

☕️⚡️Pulse 84 will be at the ballpark Tuesday and Wednesday serving up energy drinks, coffee, and snacks!

Pulse 84 has been a tremendous supporter of the QCA Rams program, and we appreciate everything they do for our players and families.
