ONE YEAR LATER: Authorities Renew Appeal for Information in Murder of Anne Turner

One year after the murder of 89-year-old Anne Turner, the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office and the Hilltown Township Police Department are renewing their appeal to the public for information that could help identify her killer and bring closure to her family.

On July 10, 2025, at 7:20 p.m., Hilltown Township police officers responded to a residence on the 2500 block of Rickert Road after a neighbor discovered Turner unresponsive inside her kitchen. Despite immediate life-saving measures by officers and emergency personnel, she was pronounced deceased at the scene.

An autopsy by the Bucks County Coroner’s Office later confirmed that Turner had been shot and her death was ruled a homicide.

Investigators found no signs of forced entry at the home. Based on the evidence gathered over the past year, authorities maintain that this was not a random act of violence and that Turner was targeted.

The active and ongoing investigation is being conducted jointly by Detectives with the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office and the Hilltown Township Police Department.

Law enforcement urges anyone who may have seen anything unusual in the area a year ago today to contact authorities immediately.

As you are all well aware by now, we are currently dealing with a house explosion on Highview Road. The road which is between Rickert Road and Fairhill Road is closed and will be for an extended time. Please avoid the area at all costs. An investigation is on going.
