Effective June 2025, you will be pulled over for holding your phone...

Lance Corporal Robert Mininger was a United States Marine from the 3rd Battalion 8th Marine Regiment. He valiantly served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and made the ultimate sacrifice on June 6, 2005.

Good morning!! It has been brought to our attention by numerous township residents that kids on E-Bikes are not respecting private property and no trespassing signs. If your child rides an E-bike, motorized scooter, bicycle or some other form of this type of transportation please remind them to not ride on private property and abide by no trespassing signs.

Since we are now on the topic of E-bikes and modes of transportation, let us go over what is legal to ride on the road and what is illegal to ride on the road.

Please see the below charts and graphics to help your knowledge.

On April 23, 2026, the Hilltown Township Police Department achieved accredited status through the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association Accreditation Program. Chief Engelhart and Lieutenant Browne attended the Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission (PLEAC) meeting where the department received their initial accreditation.

Lt. Browne guided the Hilltown Township Police Department through a rigorous process which showed our agencies' commitment to professionalism and excellence in law enforcement. The department will continue to adhere to the standards created during this process through periodic reviews and re-accreditation.

We would also like to congratulate the Pennridge Regional Police Department for achieving accreditation at the same meeting!
