Energy Saver Tips 🔌

Overfilling your refrigerator can increase energy use. Chilled air needs space to move evenly around food to keep everything at a safe, consistent temperature. When airflow is blocked, your refrigerator works harder and uses more electricity.

Through HCEOC’s Weatherization Assistance Program, eligible households may receive energy-efficient refrigerator replacements when existing units are unsafe or inefficient.

⏰ Monday, June 30 is the FINAL DAY to apply for the Hawai‘i Home Energy Assistance Program (H-HEAP)!

📍 How to Apply:
📬 Mail to: 47 Rainbow Drive, Hilo, HI 96720 (Postmarked by June 30 to be accepted)
📥 Drop-Off at: HCEOC Hilo Main Office 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
🕒 In-Person Hours: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
🗳️ Dropbox Option: Available until 4:00 PM for final check.

📝 What You’ll Need:
✔ Most recent electric bill (and gas bill if applying for gas assistance)
✔ ID for all adult household members
✔ SSNs for anyone 1+ years old
✔ Proof of citizenship, income, and residence

🚫 No emailed applications will be accepted.
