Over the past weekend Himrod Fire Department honored its members at our annual Awards Banquet. We are truly blessed to have such an amazing group of people that make up our membership body.

We would like to extend our deepest, heartfelt condolences to the Vedder family in the passing of Joyce Vedder. Joyce Vedder an outstanding Himrod Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary member, with 50 years of service, and a member of various other organizations within the fire service, holding numerous positions in those organizations dedicated her time and energy to help others. She will be greatly missed by the community, Himrod members, and anyone who knew her.

We would like to thank R.O.P.A. (Rochester Offshore Powerboat Association) for including us in their activities today at the Showboat Motel. And for their generous donation and continued support.

With funds raised by this amazing organization in years past we were able to send a crew down to display what their funds help purchase. All of what we do could not be accomplished without the support of our community and we are so grateful for all the continued support from the community we serve, aid, and protect!
