We are very blessed to serve the community we live in. Last night we had the opportunity to do interior training in a house in our community and we can't thank the owners enough. With the use of a fog machine to represent smoke and cones to represent fire, searches were performed, obstacles were overcome, and fires were knocked down. Lessons were learned and group discussion was had.

Through these trainings we build a stronger team, trust, determination and set an example for the future. We would like to thank Yates County Fire Instructors Allen Bush and Jared Webster for their part in making it possible.

We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Bart Winslow. Thank you for your service, dedication and may your memories bring great joy and pride in this time of sadness.

It is with Great sadness that the Penn Yan Fire Department shares the passing of Past Chief Bart Winslow.
Bart joined the Ellsworth Hose Company of PYFD in July of 1970 and was a Life member with 55 years of service.
Bart served as Chief from 1983 to 1985.

Over the past weekend Himrod Fire Department honored its members at our annual Awards Banquet. We are truly blessed to have such an amazing group of people that make up our membership body.
