The City of Hines would like to proudly recognize and thank the participants of the High Desert Partnership Youth Changing the Community Collaborative Fire Internship Program for their exceptional service and dedication to improving the safety of our community.

Working alongside Hines Fire Chief Doug Murphy and Hines City Councilor Kim Valentine, the youth interns spent time identifying and clearing vegetation and debris from areas that posed an increased wildfire risk. Their hard work helped reduce potential fire hazards while promoting wildfire preparedness throughout the City of Hines. The City of Hines recognizes that wildfire preparedness is a shared responsibility. Partnerships like this not only help reduce fire risk but also foster the next generation of community leaders and public servants.

The City also extends its sincere appreciation to the High Desert Partnership Youth Changing the Community Collaborative for investing in local youth and providing meaningful opportunities that build leadership, responsibility, and community pride.
The City of Hines and the Hines Fire Department extend their heartfelt thanks to each intern, the High Desert Partnership Youth Changing the Community Collaborative, Fire Chief Doug Murphy, and Councilor Kim Valentine for their leadership, teamwork, and commitment to protecting our community.
