OVERVIEW:
Showers and t-storms will impact the region on Thursday as a cold front approaches from the northwest. Thunderstorms
may move into interior portions of Southeast South Carolina and Southeast Georgia by daybreak and push offshore by
late morning. Another round of thunderstorms could reform during the early to mid-afternoon, before pushing offshore.
Conditions will favor isolated severe t-storms at just about any part of the day.

TIMING ● 7 AM to 3 PM Thursday
HAZARDS & IMPACTS
● Damaging wind gusts 60 mph or greater.
● An isolated tornado could occur if temperatures warm enough.
● Brief, minor street flooding is possible in more urbanized areas.
NWS ALERTS
● None at this time.

FORECAST CHALLENGES
● Showers and thunderstorms will expand across the Deep South this afternoon and overnight, which will spread east into the local area around daybreak. It is unclear how quick this activity will reach Southeast South Carolina and Southeast Georgia.
● If the activity is pretty widespread during the morning, then the overall severe weather threat
will remain limited. If the activity is delayed or not as widespread, then the risk for severe
weather may increase.
● The area along and east of a line from Glennville, GA to Savannah, GA to Beaufort, SC,
could see a slightly higher risk for severe weather Thursday as this area could warm the
most before thunderstorm activity increases.
