The City of Hinesville’s administrative offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day.

Exceptions to this include public safety and trash services, which will run as scheduled.

Normal operating hours will resume on Tuesday, May 26.

10:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily

Drivers should expect temporary traffic changes in the S. Main - Charles Frasier area near Community Road and Ralph Quarterman Drive:
• S. Main - Charles Frasier reduced to one lane
• Community Road closed for entry/exit
• Detour available via Eunice Road
• No left turn from Ralph Quarterman onto S. Main - Charles Frasier

All roads are expected to reopen daily at 4:00 PM.

Please use caution in the area and plan for possible delays. Weather and construction conditions permitting.

UPDATE 5/13/26 11:23 AM: Water service has been restored.

Effective immediately, crews will temporarily shut off water service to complete repairs to a fire hydrant.

Areas impacted may include:
-Neighborhood Walmart (Allenhurst)
-Cherokee Rose
-Cherokee Rose Country Club (Topi Trail)
-Meloney Drive
-Chandra Way
-Surrounding areas

Water service interruptions are expected to last approximately 5–6 hours. We recognize the inconvenience, and every effort is being made to restore water service as quickly as possible.

Crews will be adjusting the striping from South Main Street to MacArthur Drive from May 12–15, 2026 (weather permitting), during the hours of 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Flaggers will guide traffic through one open lane.

Please plan accordingly, and thank you for your patience as we work to improve our infrastructure.

Traffic Advisory:

Starting today, drivers can expect daily lane closures on South Main Street/Charles C. Frasier Boulevard under traffic control with flaggers. One lane will remain open at all times.

Work will take place from Charles C. Frasier Boulevard at Ralph Quarterman Drive, northbound toward South Main Street at Second Street, as utility and storm drainage crossings are completed.

This work is weather permitting. Please use caution and expect minor delays.
