The office of the Clerk of Courts provides all clerical, technological and administrative support to the Superior, State, Juvenile and Magistrate Courts of Liberty County; is custodian of all real and personal property records; serves as a U.S. Passport Acceptance Agency; issues commissions for notaries public; and provides other support services to state, local and federal governmental agencies.

All jurors selected to appear for jury selection Wednesday,, April 22, 2026 should report for service at 7:45 A.M. Please report to the jury assembly room on the first floor of the Liberty County Justice Center.

THE ONLY REASON NOT TO REPORT FOR JURY SERVICE ARE AS FOLLOWS:

1. You were DEFERRED by the Judge or the Clerk of Court.

2. You received an email or call not to appear.

3. You called or emailed the Clerk about an illness or need for excusal and you received an approval back not to appear.

4. If you are a non-resident and have called our office or you returned your jury questionnaire by mail or online. However, if you are a non-resident and you didn’t call or return your questionnaire... Please call our office this is sufficient no need to drive to jury selection. We will instruct you over the phone what we need.

ALL OTHER ABSENTEES will be ordered by the court to be summoned to appear before the Judge to show cause as to why you didn't report for jury selection.

Please assist us by doing the following if you have received a summons for jury selection or previously selected for a trial:

STANDING ORDER
The Office o f the Clerk o f Superior Court shall close early on Thursday, April 9 , 2026 due to a non-judicial emergency.

IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED as follows:
1. That notice of the closure shall be posted on or before April 6, 2026;

2. The office shall close at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2026;

3. The office shall reopen o n Friday, April 10, 2026 at 8:30 a.m.;

4. Filings for State and Superior Court can be made by going to www.PeachCourt.com

5. Real Estate filings, including deeds, liens, and plats, can be made by using the eFiling Portal at www.gsccca.org

staff to attend the funeral services.

We will remain closed for the remainder of

on Friday, April 10th, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
