THIS Saturday, May 9th is the Annual Letter Carrier's Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.

Simply leave your donation of non-perishable & unexpired food in a bag near your mailbox and your letter carrier will do the rest.

Suggested items include:

-Crackers
-Corn Flakes
-boxes of Minute Rice
-Chunky Peanut Butter
-Beef Stew
-Baked Beans
-Pasta Sauce
-Ground Coffee
-Ground Decaf Coffee
-Maple Syrup

Ryan's Hanover Crossing will be DONATING 20% of their proceeds from the Hingham Newcomers Club/Hingham Food Pantry FUNdraiser back to us. Don't miss it - this Thursday, 2/26 from 4pm - 7pm.

Hingham Food Pantry Snow Policy

The Hingham Food Pantry will follow the lead of the Hingham public schools regarding closure or delayed opening of the pantry.

If Hingham public schools are closed due to extremely bad weather HFP will also be closed.

If, in fact, Hingham public schools delay their opening for one or two hours the HFP will open that day at 11:00.

Cancellation announcements for Hingham public school will be broadcast over radio stations WBZ 1030 AM, WHDH 850AM, WJDA 1300AM, WRKO 680AM, WATD 95.9FM, as well
as on TV channels 4, 5, 7, and local cable stations.

You may also check the school website www.hinghamschools.org.

If the HFP has to close, we will make every attempt to reschedule the pantry on another day of that week. The day will be determined by the weather.

The announcement on the HFP phone line (781-740-8180 ) will advise you of that day.

Please feel free to call as often as necessary, but we ask that you not leave a message when you call.
