It is with great sadness that the Hinsdale Volunteer Fire Department shares the passing of one of our own, Michael (Micky) Cornwell.
Micky was a valued member of our department with over 25 years of service, working his way up to Captain and recently serving as Safety Officer. He was a constant presence—someone you could count on to be there, lend a hand, and support the department in whatever way was needed. Until his health no longer allowed him to be as active, Micky was simply always there.
We extend our deepest condolences to Micky's family- especially his wife, Evelyn and son, Tim- friends, loved ones, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Please keep them in your thoughts during this difficult time.
Rest easy, Micky. We’ll take it from here.
