Founded in 1989 by a committed group of community leaders, Wellness House serves as a vital complement to medical treatment for anyone experiencing the effects of cancer by providing a comprehensive ar

ray of programs at no cost to participants. We exist to improve the quality of life for those who are affected by cancer and its treatment, serve as a gathering place, and provide comfort and community. Our hope is that people will feel less alone, more informed, and more empowered to take on the challenge of facing cancer. If you or someone you know has been diagnosed with cancer, we invite you to participate in our programs. You can connect to the latest cancer information through one of our many special events; connect to others who are going through similar experiences in our networking groups; connect to programs and resources for stress reduction and healthy lifestyles in our exercise and nutrition classes.

Thank you to the 6th Grade Student Service Council at Cossitt School for their support of Wellness House.

Over the past several months, these students organized an Affy Tapple Sale and Candy Cane Sale to raise funds for individuals and families affected by cancer.

We were especially touched by their thoughtful letter explaining why they chose Wellness House and their hope that this donation would help people going through a difficult time.

Participants will explore watercolor techniques while creating soft floral artwork inspired by blooming flowers. This class is welcoming to all skill levels and no prior experience is needed.

Join us at Wellness House for an encouraging and practical conversation about healing during and after cancer with Wayne Jonas, MD, a leader in whole person cancer care.

Drawing from his books How Healing Works and Healing and Cancer, Dr. Jonas will share how healing includes caring for the whole person. Cancer affects the body, but it also impacts emotions, relationships, routines, and hopes for the future.

In this free program you will learn how stress, daily habits, support, and your environment can influence healing and how patients and caregivers can work with care teams to make sure treatment supports what matters most to them.
