🚑🏈 Hinsdale Volunteer Fire Department Standby Detail 🏈🚑

Tonight, members of the Hinsdale Volunteer Fire Department provided a standby detail for the Allegany-Limestone football game versus Cardinal O’Hara.

Tonight’s game is being played here in Hinsdale while field upgrades are being completed at Allegany-Limestone Central School.

We are grateful for the opportunity to welcome the teams, families, and community to Hinsdale and to be able to share our time and resources to help make sure everyone can enjoy the game safely.

A special thank-you to our members who volunteered their time tonight so these kids can enjoy their extracurricular activities. Your dedication and willingness to give back to our community are what make the volunteer fire service so special. ❤️🚒

 🙏 A Special Thank You

The Hinsdale Fire Dept. would like to thank all of the responding members throughout Cattaraugus County who showed up to help their friends, neighbors, and communities during last night’s severe weather.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Cattaraugus County Office of Emergency Services for their outstanding efforts and coordination during a very busy event.

When our communities need help, firefighters, EMS, and emergency responders across the county answer the call. We are proud to stand alongside all of you. 🚒🚑

🚨🚒 BIG NEWS FROM THE HINSDALE FIRE DEPARTMENT! 🚒🚨

We are extremely excited and proud to announce the acquisition of a brand-new Can-Am side-by-side rescue unit, along with a dedicated trailer for transporting the unit!

This new piece of equipment is designed to greatly enhance our ability to respond to emergencies in areas that are difficult or impossible to reach with traditional emergency vehicles.

🔥 The Can-Am will be equipped with:

* 💦 An 80-gallon water tank and pump for brush fires and off-road fire incidents
* 👨‍🚒 Capacity to transport two personnel
* 🛟 The capability to transport a patient using a Stokes basket
* 🌲 Equipment and mobility for search and rescue and off-road emergencies

The need for this type of equipment has become increasingly important with the number of trails in our area and the growing popularity of off-road recreational vehicles. This unit will allow our members to get into these remote areas more quickly and provide assistance to people who may otherwise be difficult to reach.

The primary uses for this unit will include brush fires, search and rescue, and off-road rescue operations.

Most importantly, this equipment was made possible through the fundraising efforts of the Hinsdale Fire Department and the incredible generosity of our community. Every dinner, raffle, donation, and event helps us continue to improve the equipment we have available to protect the residents and visitors of our community.

We cannot thank our community enough for supporting the Hinsdale Fire Department and helping make this purchase possible. This new unit will serve our community for years to come!
