Registration Information Deadline Reminder

Summers County 4-H Camp registration closes TODAY, Monday, May 4. Remember that registering for camp is a two-step process - member enrollment and finalizing the camp registration with class selection, shirt size, etc. If you haven't selected classes and a shirt size, you are not registered. I've sent emails, FB messages, and called people who have only done a member enrollment.

If your child already has a CURRENT ZSuite Enrollment, log in and go to events. Search for Summers County. The camp link will come up (can only register on or after April 2, 2026). You’ll click on register and follow the steps.

If your child has a ZSuite account, but you haven’t enrolled for the current year, log in, go to the profile, and enroll for the 2025-2026 year. Complete the information and submit your enrollment. After it is approved, you can register for camp. Follow the steps above. ZSuite enrollments will be approved during office hours only.

If you are new to ZSuite:
- Create a household account and add household members (these are your 4-H members). Think of this like a basic online shopping account. You set up an account with your information.
- Lesley will approve your membership. ZSuite enrollments will be approved during office hours only.
- After your membership is approved, you can register for events. Think of this as actually purchasing items from your online shopping account. Having an account lets you purchase items and having a ZSuite account allows you to register for events. You can also contact [email protected] if you encounter problems or need access to a computer. This will be done by appointment only.

All classes and cabins are first come, first serve. Once they are full, no additional campers will be added. I look forward to seeing many familiar faces and new ones as well! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Happy National Gardening Day! Summers County Extension is celebrating and welcome you to celebrate with us. There are free seeds on the table outside our office in the Memorial Building - pickling cucumbers, sugar snap peas, parsley, and lettuce. Take what you need and grow with us!

Jumping Branch Elementary kindergarten, first, and second grade students had a great time decorating pots this morning and got microgreen seeds to take home with them to plant. We even snuck in a little science about porous surfaces as they decorated and colored.

I’ll be packing some microgreen seed kits for a few classes. If you’re a teacher and interested, please reach out! Kits include seeds, directions, and a small plastic container of soil. 🌱

One week of camp registration = 94 campers! Your extension agent is TIRED. If you didn't take advantage of the early registration discount, I will honor it until noon today, April 10. After that, the cost will increase to $180. We have a lot of returning campers as well as some new ones. We hope to see everyone from last year to welcome all of our new 4-H friends!

If you send me a message and I don't immediately reply, consider there's one of me and 94 campers so far. That's a lot of registrations to approve and invoice when you're alone. In addition to that, I continue to do all of my regular work when it's camp season. Patience and kindness are always appreciated. :)

Tomorrow is the last day of the early registration discount for camp ($130 instead of $180). If you have done a member enrollment but not completed the camp registration, you are not registered for camp and the discount will not apply if it isn't completed by tomorrow. Member enrollments should be submitted no later than 4:30 on Thursday, April 9, if you plan to register for camp that day. I will not be available to check and approve memberships beyond that time. Everything is announced in advance to ensure everyone has opportunity to take advantage of the discount.

If you have a middle school female (currently in grades 6-8), I would register ASAP. There are only 13 spots left in that cabin. If the spots fill up, there is nothing I can do to get your child in. Again, it is critically important to take care of both member enrollment and camp registration to ensure a spot. If you've already done your member enrollment, all that's needed is to log in, go to events, and search Summers County. Camp will come up and you can finalize your registration there.

It's going to be a GREAT week of time travel!

Early bird camp discount expires this Thursday, April 9! If you want the discount, please do not wait until 4:29 on Thursday to ask for help. :) NOW is the time to register and save $50. Registration directions can be found on previous posts. It's going to be a great week!

As always, everything is first come, first serve. If you have a return scholarship, this does not guarantee your spot. You must complete a camp registration. All cabins have plenty of space currently, but we ran out of room last year for both middle and high school females last year.

Registration for camp opens tomorrow! If you don't have an active member enrollment, today is the day to take care of it. See previous posts for directions. WVU is closed on Friday for Spring Holiday. Any member enrollments submitted after 4:30 on Thursday won't be approved until Monday at 8:30, so I strongly suggest taking care of it today. We ran out of spots in both middle and high school females last year, so I recommend registering sooner rather than later.

An early registration scholarship of $50 will be automatically applied to registrations submitted between April 2-9, making your cost only $130 for the week. Anyone wishing to take advantage of this should make sure their member enrollment is submitted before the close of business (4:30) on April 9 in order to be able to register for camp that day. The fee will be $180 from April 10-May 4 when registration closes.

See you June 8-12 for another great week!

Summers County 4-H Camp registration opens one week from today, April 2! Attached is everything you need to know - dates, times, costs, rules, general information, and description of camp classes.

Remember that registering for camp is a two-step process - member enrollment that you can do NOW and finalizing the camp registration that starts next week with class selection, shirt size, etc.
Without a member enrollment, you will not be able to register for camp, and member enrollment approvals only happen during office hours (8:30-4:30 on weekdays unless it's a holiday).
