BEFORE/AFTER of the Lincoln School Clean Up!! TAG AWAY!
Saturday, in honer of Dr. Martin Luther Kind Jr., Volunteer Community Members gathered together at the Historic Lincoln School to make a difference. Despite the cold temps, and rain, about 30 people came by to lend a hand. It took a tribe. Doughnuts, and goodies were donated ( Thanks Lathroum's!) along with hand wipes, masks, and more masks (Thank you Myra Hogan!), brooms, shovels, trash cans, trash bags, PIZZA (Thank you City of Hinton Government!!), and most importantly lots of giving heart and helping hands.
A VERY INCREDIBLE SHOUT-OUT!!! to the Summers County High School Track Team. These young adults exemplified EXACTLY what this community is in need of, pride, kindness, and ready to get dirty!! They showed up, took care of business, and got to sit back eat some pizza and (hopefully) enjoy, all they accomplished in such a short time. They brought true meaning to why we do anything to see this community along. Lessons were learned Saturday. And this time, the students were the teachers. Thank you all once again! Let's turn these ripples into giant WAVES!!
