Barger springs road at the 1200 block Talcott side is closed due due an overturned tractor trailer.

Route 3 on Beech Run approx 1 mile up from the intersection of route 20 (10100 block) is closed due to a downed tree and power lines.

Harvey Road in the vicinity of 1408 is closed due to a stuck tractor trailer. Please avoid this area.

Claypool Road and Hump Mountain Road are now open after repairs were completed.

Summers County flooding update 1:20pm

Claypool road and Hump Mountain road are closed due to high water and road damage. DOH is advising they will stay closed through tonight and into tomorrow until assessments and repairs are completed. I have been out checking conditions and have found no damage to structures or property at this time. Most high water was found in the Sandstone, Meadow Creek, Green Sulphur, and Elton areas.

There is a tree on the powerline on Elton Lawn Road about 1 mile above the intersection of Route 20. It is passable by passenger vehicles and AEP has been notified.

DOH is working to remove debris from roads at this time. If you encounter a flooded roadway, or debris please call or text 911 to report it.

A risk for additional locally heavy rainfall continues through tonight.

615am - the road is back open. There is still one telecom line laying in the road.

Route 3 and 12 at the 2500 block (near the caboose pulloff) at Talcott is closed due to downed lines. Fire Department is doing traffic control until Frontier, Mon power, and Optimum arrive.
