Hey Paulding County!

This past weekend was the beginning of the 2026 high school football season with three home games at Hiram High, South Paulding High, and North Paulding High.

If you think you may have seen our officers at the games...

Yes... Yes you did!

Paulding County School Police has asked us to help with security during their events.

We are honored by their request and trust in our officers to help them with keeping events safe for staff, students, and other attendees.

We look forward to our continued partnership with the Paulding County School Police and serving the citizens and visitors of Paulding County!

Recently our Chaplain, Pastor Cliff McGrady, attended the annual Georgia Association of Law Enforcement Chaplains Conference where he completed Chaplain Advanced Training.

We thank Pastor McGrady for his continued and unwavering support and service to the Hiram Police Department, our officers, and our citizens.

At the Tuesday, August 4, 2026, Regular Session Council Meeting, Chief Lonergan recognized Savannah Carder and the Hiram Police Department for successfully completing their state certification—a rigorous three-year process that reflects their commitment to excellence in law enforcement.

Chief Lonergan also extended a special thank you to Savannah for her diligence, dedication, and hard work throughout the certification process. In recognition of her outstanding efforts, she was presented with a plaque from the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police (GACP).

Congratulations to Savannah and the entire Hiram Police Department on this significant achievement!

This past Tuesday Chief Lonergan visited the Maude P. Ragsdale Public Library and read a book to some new friends. Ofc. Wix stopped by to show off his patrol car also.

Flat Chief Stanley made an appearance too!
