Ho-Ho-Kus Day is almost here!

On Saturday, September 12th, from 12 to 6 PM, the heart of Ho-Ho-Kus will once again be transformed for the 5th Annual Ho-Ho-Kus Day, a celebration of our community, our hometown spirit and America’s 250th Anniversary.

🎶 Enjoy live music throughout the afternoon, rides and amusements for all ages, gourmet food trucks and plenty of festival favorites.

🛍️ Vendor booths and tents from local businesses and community organizations will line Orvil Court. Stop by, say hello and support the businesses, groups and volunteers that are such an important part of Ho-Ho-Kus.

🍻🍷 The Ho-Ho-Kus Inn & Tavern will be part of the festivities again this year, serving Oktoberfest craft b**r and a selection of w**e and beverages. The Town Green will feature a large tented area with tables and chairs for eating, drinking and gathering throughout the afternoon.

🦆 And the Quack is Back! The Ho-Ho-Kus Chamber of Commerce is bringing back the Ducky Derby at 2 PM. Adopt your Lucky Lane Duck for $10 by scanning the QR code on the flyer, then come cheer it on as the ducks race their way toward the finish. Ducks will also be available on event day, with prizes for the top finishers.

Great food, great music, refreshments, rides, and a whole lot of Ho-Ho-Kus hometown spirit, all in one place.

Admission is free and everyone is welcome. Come hungry, bring the family, reconnect, and plan to stay awhile!

🎬✨ The celebration begins the night before with Movie Night Under the Stars on Friday, September 11. Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie at dusk on the Town Green.

🚶‍♂️🚦 Have you noticed something new on N. Maple Avenue?

Ho-Ho-Kus has installed a new pedestrian crossing signal to help make crossing N. Maple Avenue safer for everyone.

If you’re crossing:
🔹 Press the blue button to activate the signal.
🔹 Wait for the lights to begin flashing before entering the crosswalk.
🔹 Always look both ways and make eye contact with approaching drivers whenever possible.

Drivers: 🚗 When the crossing lights are flashing, slow down, be alert, and yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk.

This new crossing is another step toward making our streets safer for residents and visitors alike.

As students head back to class, let’s all do our part: slow down, put distractions away, and watch for children walking and biking to school. Give yourself extra time, be patient around school drop-offs, and follow our crossing guards’ directions.
