That’s a wrap for the week of the Ho-Ho-Kus Junior Police Academy!

The final three days were packed with excitement and unforgettable experiences. Recruits visited the Bergen County Police Academy, got an exclusive view of SWAT equipment, and even took a ride on the Emergency Vehicle Operation Course! Next,we shut down Warren Ave and jogged to Borough Hall like real recruits, witnessed a live demonstration from the Bergen County Bomb Squad, and capped it off with a visit from the NJ State Police helicopter.

Congratulations to Class #17 on a week full of learning, teamwork, and adventure. We’re proud of all of you!

Day 2 of the Ho-Ho-Kus Junior Police Academy was a hit!
Our recruits hit the Hudson River for an unforgettable boat ride thanks to the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police 🚤🌊 Then it was back on land for an awesome K-9 demonstration from the Bergen County Sheriff's Office🐾👮‍♂️
Thank you to both agencies for giving our cadets a day they won’t forget!

🚨 Day 1 of the Ho-Ho-Kus Junior Police Academy was a success!

Big thank you to the Ho-Ho-Kus Volunteer Ambulance Corps. and Ho-Ho-Kus Volunteer Fire Department for showing the recruits their gear and equipment. 🚑🔥

Although the helicopter visit was rescheduled to Friday, there’s plenty more ahead — today is all about police boats and the K9 unit! 🛥️🐾

Days 3 & 4 cadets got a trip to the Bergen County Law & Public Safety Institute for a Swat Team demonstration courtesy of the Bergen County Prosecutors Office and rides in the police car through an Emergency Vehicle Operations Course instructed by our very own Officer Seeetman. They also took a trip to Port Authority Police - Newark Airport to see all their cool equipment. The days were topped off with a New Jersey State Police helicopter landing right at Lloyd School. Thank you to all of the people that helped to make these memories for the cadets.

Days 1 and 2 included the Police K9, and Bomb Squad, courtesy of the Bergen County Sheriff's Office, lots of physical activity and special guest visits from the Ho-Ho-Kus Volunteer Fire Department and Ho-Ho-Kus Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Three days left, and more fun to come !!!
