The Mayor and Council were pleased to welcome 8th Grade students from Ho-Ho-Kus Public School to the May 26 Mayor and Council Meeting as part of their Civics curriculum.

The students had the opportunity to observe local government in action and gain a firsthand understanding of how municipal government serves the community. At the conclusion of the meeting, Mayor Thomas Randall presented each student with a Certificate of Attendance in recognition of their participation.

The Borough is proud to support educational opportunities that foster civic engagement and provide students with a greater appreciation for local government. Thank you to the students, teachers, and Ho-Ho-Kus Public School for making this meaningful experience possible!

Congratulations to the recipients of the 2026 Ho-Ho-Kus Stigma Free Committee Scholarship Award!

At the May 26 Mayor and Council Meeting, the Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus proudly recognized Emily Vaccarino and Bridget Dooley as this year’s recipients of the Ho-Ho-Kus Stigma Free Committee Scholarship, each receiving a $500 scholarship in recognition of their commitment to promoting mental health awareness and helping to create a stigma-free community.

Each year, the Ho-Ho-Kus Stigma Free Committee awards two scholarships to graduating high school seniors who attended Ho-Ho-Kus Public School. Applicants are asked to submit a personal essay explaining why mental health awareness and the stigma-free initiative are important to them.

Congratulations to Emily and Bridget on this well-deserved recognition! We wish you both every success in the years ahead and thank you for helping foster a more compassionate and supportive community.
