This is a big job!

🌳🪾TREE DEBRIS REMOVAL UPDATE – MONDAY, AUGUST 24

Tree debris removal crews will be working in several areas of Hobart today as storm cleanup continues.

Today’s targeted areas include:

* ELC area north of 41st Avenue, from Wabash Street to Wisconsin Street
* Beverly Boulevard area
* Trinity Lutheran area
* Fleming Street, Lincoln Street and State Street near Hobart Middle School
* Little Hollywood
* Hobart Road / Deep River Pointe area
* Neighborhoods north of 10th Street

If you do not see your neighborhood listed, please do not worry. These are the areas crews are focusing on today, not a complete list of all areas that will receive debris removal. Cleanup efforts will continue throughout the city.

We know there is still a tremendous amount of tree debris from the storm, and we appreciate everyone’s patience as crews continue working their way through Hobart.

We will continue to share updates as additional areas are scheduled. Thank you to our residents for your patience and cooperation as we work to get our city cleaned up. 🌳

📣 Friday evening Kickoff outlook for tomorrow night! We are kicking off our opening games with temperatures in the 70s across Northern Indiana and 80s across Southern Indiana under partly cloudy skies. We will have to keep an eye across far Northern and NW Indiana for an isolated thunderstorm tomorrow evening.

Overall the forecast is looking pretty good for the opening start to High-school football season! Go get-em boys and have fun!
