Ethan Treadwell was sentenced to serve prison time in a Kiowa County court on Wednesday following a 2024 attack that left a man with traumatic brain injuries.

Today, the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office mourns the death of a brother. Major Jamie McGuckin died today working at the Oklahoma County Detention Center as a Detention Officer and member of Command Staff. He previously worked as a deputy with the Oklahoma County Sheriffs Office. Please keep his family in your prayers.

Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation warns public of man posing as special agent.

The suspect is posing as an OSBI special agent with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, officials said.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Linda Ney, age 74, was located at approximately 1:00 p.m. today, July 22, 2026, at the Mountain Park Wildlife Management Area on the southwest side of Lake Tom Steed. Ms. Ney was found deceased.
This remains an ongoing investigation, and the cause of death will be determined by the Oklahoma State Medical Examiner's Office.

A full press release will be issued once the investigation is complete.
