🎟️ Help us support Special Olympics New Mexico!

The Hobbs Police Department is seeking raffle-item donations from local businesses, organizations, and community members for the upcoming LETR Family Festival.

Saturday, September 19
10 a.m.–2 p.m.
Jal Lake Park | Jal, NM

Donations of gift cards, merchandise, gift baskets, coolers, electronics, grills, and other raffle-worthy items are greatly appreciated. Every donation helps support the incredible athletes of Special Olympics New Mexico!

Items can be dropped off at 300 N Turner (Hobbs Police Department)

Last night, the Hobbs Police Department was proud to recognize several members of our team.

Sergeants Tiawan Smith and Jennifer Maxwell were presented with the Life-Saving Award after responding to reports of a medical emergency involving a person who was unconscious and not breathing. Their quick and decisive actions to perform life-saving CPR until medics arrived helped sustain the individual until they could be transported to the hospital for further medical care.

We’re also proud to recognize:
Josie Mendiola (15 years of service)
Susan Santa (15 years of service)
Brendan Ingley (10 years of service)
For their years of dedicated service to the Hobbs Police Department and our community.

🏁 FIRST STOP: HOBBS FRESHMAN HIGH SCHOOL.

We officially debuted Brew with the Blue this morning, and the coffee wasn’t the only thing being served, there were plenty of laughs and great conversations going around too!

Officer Ruiz, who normally spends his days on patrol, took over the caramel station like a pro!
Sgt. Ford took a break from his training position to jump in as our official order taker 😂

And a special shoutout to Chief Jimmie Jones and the surprise crew of officers and sergeants who stopped by throughout the morning to join in on the fun.

But honestly, the best part was getting to spend time with the teachers and staff that pour into our children everyday.

Freshman High School was officially FIRST. 🏆

Now the big question is… WHO’S NEXT? 👀☕️💙
