Bartlett Rd., Bartlett. Candidates speaking will be from the Bartlett Library, Bartlett Park District, Bartlett Public Library, Bartlett Fire Department, Village of Bartlett, U46 School Board and Elgin Community College. Free and open to the public!

Good morning friends. Once again we have the Consolidated Elections on April 9 for a variety of local positions. My first wish is for you all to vote for my Streamwood Park District teamates,; Adriana Armstrong, Tom Keating, and Rick Brogan for re-election. Our team has accomplished many great things together culminating with the Streamwood Park District winning the IAPD Distinguished Accredited Agency Award. Many great things have been accomplished, but we have many more tasks to tackle. Please vote to re-elect my teamates for another 4-year term so we can work on accomplishing several other strategic initiatives to make our park district even better!
I also want to ask you to support our friends running for Hanover Township Trustee. Mary Alice Benoit, Howard Krick, and Bill Burke have overseen many quality programs as well as developing other wonderful services for the township. They have recieved accolades such as the "Illinois Township of the Year" as well as continuing to improve their programs and develop new ones to serve our residents. Steve Caramelli is the new person on the slate and is very dedicated to develop and deliver quality programs for us. He has served his community in a variety of roles and he displays a strong passion towards public service. Please vote for them as well!

We look forward to seeing you at the HanDI/HERO “Meet and Greet Candidate Forum” to be held Monday, March 11, 2013 at Poplar Creek Public Library, 1405 S. Park Avenue in Streamwood. We are sending this message to confirm your attendance and to share with you the format for the event.



The agenda appears below. All candidates are asked to sign in at the front of the room. If you are a candidate in a featured race and cannot attend the forum in its entirety, please arrive for your segment at least 10 minutes before the listed time.

6:30 Doors open
7:00 Welcome and introductions
7:15 Streamwood Village Trustee candidates
7:40 Hanover Township Trustee candidates
8:10 Streamwood Village President candidates
8:45 Meet and greet
9:30 Library closes


Candidates for the three featured races will each have 2 minutes to introduce themselves and present their qualifications for office. In your opening remarks, please also identify the most critical issue facing your district and how you would address that issue. During the remainder of each segment, candidates will be presented with questions submitted by the event organizers and by the audience. Answers will be limited to 2 minutes each. In the interest of providing all candidates an opportunity to respond, these time limits will be strictly observed.



Candidates for other offices will have their names announced from the podium. As indicated in our invitation letter, all candidates are encouraged to bring literature for distribution and display.
